RESILIENCE IS A FASHION SHOW IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BEAUTY OVER BRUISES FEATURING DESIGNERS AND STYLISTS CELEBRATING THE POWER OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SURVIVORS.
SURVIVORS WILL WALK THE RUNWAY ALONG WITH PROFESSIONAL MODELS. EVERY LOOK WILL INCORPORATE THE COLOR PURPLE IN HONOR OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SURVIVORS.

ARSURI
Anastasia Shimansky is a professional artist, graphic and fashion designer whose creative career began in Europe, where she was born, raised, and educated. In 2016, she moved to Texas, USA, where, influenced by the rich local culture and unique creative atmosphere, she began a new chapter in her career. In Austin, the capital of the state’s creative industry, Anastasia not only participated in numerous art exhibitions but also founded her own studio, Arsuri Art & Fashion, where she combined her two main passions – art and fashion. Since moving to America, her creative energy has gained new momentum, and in recent years she has been actively involved in fashion, creating unique projects for children and teenagers. Inspired by the harmony between art and fashion, Anastasia works on collections that not only emphasize individuality but also create a special mood. In addition, she has worked as a costume and stage designer at the Austin Theatre, which allowed her to expand her creative boundaries and bring her ideas to life in various art forms. Most recently, Anastasia graduated with honors from Austin Community College (ACC), earning a degree in Fashion Design. This achievement has become a significant milestone in her professional journey, and today she is ready to bring her experience, knowledge, and creativity to new and exciting projects. Her works are a reflection of her inner world, where fantasy intertwines with reality, creating unique and memorable images. Today, we proudly present the brand Arsuri Art and Fashion, which has become the embodiment of Anastasia Shimansky’s years of experience and unique vision. The brand offers something truly special – a synthesis of art and fashion, expressed in each collection. One of the brand’s most striking collections is Alice in Wonderland, which captivates with its rich color palette, retro notes, and extraordinary design solutions. The collection is created for those who value brightness and originality. It is filled with positive energy and symbolizes luck and success. The dresses presented in this collection are like an embodiment of mood: each piece is not just clothing, but a true symbol that can give confidence and reveal inner strength. Particular attention in the collection is given to accessories: hats in the shape of large roses and elegant gloves become a unifying element, giving completeness to the looks. BOW INERTIA
I’m Didi (Deonka) Ruffin, and I’m the designer and founder of Bow Inertia. Fashion became my voice when words couldn’t feel safe and after years of domestic violence, I needed a way to speak my truth. I built Bow Inertia around the concept that clothing should empower, not confine. Many of my designs are nonconformist, unisex, pushing against stereotypes encouraging people to wear what resonates with them. My journey caught public attention: in 2019, KVUE ran a story about me called “Bow Ties Saved My Life: Austin-area woman leaves behind decade-long domestic violence abuse to pursue hobby.” (KVUE) That feature was a moment of visibility for what I’m building, not just as a designer but as someone who chose to rise. Bow Inertia is more than fashion. It’s about resilience, about creating space for people to be themselves outside limits, and about helping someone feel proud and seen when they wear something I made.
CACOPHONY CULTURE
Formerly known as Art by Hannah Hannah, Cacophony Culture is a revolution in fashion. Artist and designer Hannah Hannah is pioneering a new wave of Avant Garde Couture in the sustainable fashion arena. Cacophony Culture is ultimately a platform for the artist and designer to showcase her environmentally-friendly collections in order to promote her altruistic artistic authenticity.
CLOWN COUTURE
Fashion to me has been armor and it has been a practice in release. After using fashion to shrink myself and dim my presence, I realized that feeling was never safety, more like something that didn’t quite fit.
Now, fashion to me is reclaiming this body that is mine to love and honor. In styling and creating head to toe fidget-friendly jewelry and accessories, I shape presence. My brand, Clown Couture, is a celebration of sacred self-expression. Through my work, I transform what once felt constrained into wearable art that empowers, honors, and elevates.
Fashion, for me, is the act of returning to myself and inviting others to do the same.

Kai (Kaiya) Inoue is an Austin-based fashion designer whose work blends modern minimalism with bold, expressive details. Drawing inspiration from both streetwear and high-fashion aesthetics, Kai creates pieces that celebrate individuality and confidence. Cleva Kah is the founder, creative visionary, and lead designer behind The House of eMaGi™, a couture fashion house and production company based in Austin, Texas. With the guiding philosophy “fashion as a reflection of self” and the tagline “Image = Individuality,” Cleva has built a brand that merges artistry, culture, and empowerment.
The House of eMaGi™ specializes in bespoke couture, made-to-order collections, and signature programs that connect fashion with confidence, body positivity, and mental wellness. Through its production arm, REVaissance Productions, the brand curates high-impact fashion shows and cultural events that celebrate diversity, creativity, and resilience.

INGASILKS
Inga Strauss-Godejord, also known as the artist behind INGASILKS, is a professional silk artist and designer based in Houston, Texas. She is an artist known for her handcrafted work on silk. Combining art and silk, Inga describes herself as ”one of the artists who do not wait for inspiration to motivate them, rather I believe that the unique IMAGINATION of the artist is the key for artistic growth. I find the process of painting on silk very temperamental yet rewarding. Because of the challenges of this medium, I find myself continually expanding my skill set with new techniques in transparency. Working with silk dyes gives me the freedom to create original paintings that are vivid in color and sophisticated in detail.”

I’m Keodisty Gooding. I am very passionate for runway and all things fashion. I am blessed and honored to have gifted hands and if I can see it in my mind, I will create it for the world! This would be my 3rd time participating in AFW and I will say, I am addicted. Each time truly does get better..My brand it’s all about feeling free, sexy, creative and in control. This is what I consider my Luxury brand, I look forward to creating and putting it out to the world.

Kween is an untamed creative spirit with a passion for kreating unique designs that showcase her love for her Melanin and Ancestral lineage. Kween founded Kweens Royal Tees in 2015 as a way to express her love for KommU.N.I.T.Y and give individuals apparel which promoted self-love and encourage them to recognize their Inner King and Queen! Our Kweens Royal Tees Hand Painted Kustom Apparel Brand is Boisterous and Bold with our fashion designs. We love to express ourselves in Unique and Exclusive ways. We are Flashy, Fly and Free when hand painting klothing that represents the boldest of personalities. My Royal clientele know who they are and love to represent their Ancestors and Royal lineage through wearable art!.
M . JEANNE’ APPAREL
I officially started my fashion journey in 2013. I have been working as a hairstylist for over 30 years and there is nothing more rewarding than being able to make a difference in a person’s life by helping them feel good about themselves. So from there, I began to sew clothes, wanting to specialize in trendy styles for the heavy breast and plus size women, to give them the full package from head to toe. When you look good, you feel great! Your confidence level soars, allowing you to go do things you wouldn’t have dreamt of. To know that my designs played a part means the world and lets me know I made the right decision to follow my passion in fashion. Design is about self expression. You can be the quietest person in the room but what you’re wearing and how your hair is styled can speak for you. I want to be the voice that speaks for you when you wear my pieces.

Ophelia Lorrain is a love letter to the art of dressing—whimsical, wearable creations that marry feminine grace, drama, and romance with a sense of fun. PINXBYXENOS
Pinx x Xenos is a new fashion brand based in Austin, Texas founded by Morgane Xenos, a self taught designer with a passion for painting and the visual arts. Pinxxx is ready to incorporate her 2 loves, fashion and art, and take them both to the runways! Pinxxx focus is evening wear, intimate wear, and 3D printed fashion. These elements can be found in her collection and collections to come. While an advocate for recycling unwanted materials that would go to waste and avoiding buying things from big box stores, Pinxxx uses resin and mixed media for her pieces showing in Resilience
This show is decided to my mother who has shown me how to love when there is none, compassion where it’s needed, and speak words of kindness and grace at every opportunity.

Every donation of material or monetary contribution will serve to make an even larger impact as i am pivoting my community-driven company to give back in the most innovative way possible. To continue my mission, the Nina Collective (an initiative formed by a team creatives, serves as an illustrative component of Fashion for change, an approach that provides ample opportunities for local talent including models, photographers, beauty industries and other diverse creatives to display their talents and offer them to the world.

Sharon Robinson is an Austin-based fashion stylist with over 20 years in retail management. A graduate of Huston-Tillotson University with a degree in Business and Marketing, she combines her industry experience with a creative eye to craft unique individual looks for print, runway and everyday life. Passionate about personal style and visual storytelling. Sharon’s ultimate goal is to work as a lead stylist for a luxury brand.
