ANY OLD IRON

Title: Any Old Iron: Blending Tradition and Contemporary Style in Music City

Any Old Iron, the brainchild of designer and stylist Andrew Clancey, stands as a testament to the seamless fusion of tradition and contemporary style. The label’s name is not only a nod to the historical practice of scrap men collecting metal with horse-drawn carts but also pays homage to Clancey’s family’s scrap metal business, which boasts a legacy dating back to 1872. The very phrase “Any Old Iron” is steeped in history, as it is also the title of an Old English music hall song that reflects a young man’s sartorial dandyism—a quality that resonates deeply in the brand’s aesthetic.

Originally rooted in the bustling streets of New York City, Any Old Iron made a strategic move to Nashville, Tennessee, in October 2014. The decision was fueled by a desire to cater to the city’s vibrant music scene and fashion-forward locals. Now situated on Music Row, Any Old Iron has become a go-to destination for musicians and style enthusiasts alike.

The clientele of Any Old Iron reads like a who’s who of the entertainment industry, with renowned names such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Cher, Ozzy Osbourne, Kate Bosworth, Taylor Swift, Elton John, Miranda Lambert, Cardi B, and the Jonas Brothers among its distinguished patrons. The brand’s ability to attract such a diverse and high-profile clientele underscores its universal appeal and unique ability to cater to the fashion needs of the stars.

Andrew Clancey, the visionary behind Any Old Iron, commented on the move to Nashville, stating, “We saw Nashville as the perfect canvas for our blend of music-inspired yet contemporary fashion. The city’s rich musical heritage and evolving fashion scene provided an exciting backdrop for Any Old Iron to make its mark.”

Any Old Iron has not only found a new home in Nashville but has also found a community that resonates with its distinctive aesthetic. The store on Music Row serves as a hub for creativity, attracting not only musicians but also those who appreciate the brand’s commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and a nod to the past while staying firmly rooted in the present.

CREED VOYLES

As a senior in HIgh School, I have been making clothes since elementary school. My first collection was shown at Austin Fashion Week when I was 12. I am now eager to go off to college and study fashion in the best city in the world: Paris, France. Inspiration comes to me everyday when I am out in the world. Fashion inspiration comes to me through music, how people dress, running in nature and in the city and from my imagination.

EESA RANI STYLE

Eesa Rani Style is a bespoke apparel and accessory brand specializing in upcycling reclaimed global textiles and uplifting art of dressing beyond boundaries. I founded the brand around three guiding principles:textile should never go waste, there is no such thing as too much color (or bling), always bring the sparkle.

Eesa Rani is my heart. I’ve been making clothes since I was a little girl “borrowing” my mom’s dish towels to make dresses for my dolls. Every piece I make has piece of my soul, with a dash of shimmer and sass, and a whole lot of love.

Every Eesa Rani item is handmade in Austin, Texas from vintage fabrics, remnants, and/or other recycled materials I’ve personally sourced from centuries old bazaars, tiny shops, and magical markets, in South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and beyond. The result is an eclectic mix of one of a kind (like seriously, sometimes I only make one) pieces that are part vintage, part contemporary, and 100% cool. I’m intentional about building an Eesa Rani Tribe community by leading customers on a journey of discovery about the origins and legacy of heritage textiles, as well as a discovery of themselves as they explore big bling energy, Eesa Rani style. Seeing a customer light up and become more confident when wearing an Eesa Rani creation is pure magic. It’s what fuels me to work the long hours on nights and weekends to build this business. Eesa Rani’s mission is to make the world a little brighter one unique creation at a time. Life’s short, bring the sparkle.
